CKDJ 107.9 FM Ottawa, broadcasting from Algonquin College, recently announced a brand new formatting, focusing exclusively on homegrown Ottawa talent. Keeping with that spirit, CKDJ is proud to announce that Tuesday, October 16th, 2012 will be dedicated to Ottawa’s brightest star, Alanis Morissette.
CKDJ Program Director, Gill Proudfoot, hopes that “Alanis Day” will capture the attention of the city, CKDJ listeners, and possibly the star of the day herself. According to Gill “Tuesday, Alanis will be travelling between shows in Toronto and Montreal but she is not making a stop in her hometown. We want her to know that Ottawa still loves her and her music.” CKDJ will be exclusively playing Alanis tracks throughout the day between 6am to 10pm, with tracks from all of her albums, from Jagged Little Pill to her newest, Havoc and Bright Lights.
Gill also hints that “Alanis Day” may only be the first of many theme days on CKDJ. “We have some very exciting events and promotions coming up in the next few weeks, including the chance for one listener to have a day dedicated solely to them”.
