Gang ‘em Style
Street Gangs in Ottawa are carrying guns, selling drugs, and running prostitution rings.
That’s the word from Staff Sergeant Mark Patterson, who leads Ottawa’s Guns and Gangs Unit.
He was one of more than 150 people at City Hall last night for a Crime Prevention Ottawa forum called “Taking Action Together: Addressing Gangs in Our City.”
Part two of the forum starts tonight at 6:30 at City Hall.

Naqvi – Liberal Leader?
A Member of Provincial Parliament who calls Ottawa home is resigning his post in Dalton McGuinty’s cabinet.
Yasir Naqvi, MPP for Ottawa Centre has decided to step aside as President of the Ontario Liberal Party.
But it’s not a bad thing.
The MPP is considering a run as Liberal leader for Ontario.
The Budget
The Harper government will release it’s latest budget today.
Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty has said there’ll be “no surprises”.
But N-D-P Leader Thomas Mulcair says he’s sure the Conservatives will pull a fast one by including things his party could never support.
BELL / Astral
We will hear today from The CRTC regarding it’s decision on Bell Media’s plan to buy out Montreal based Astral Media.
The CRTC will say whether it approves the three and a half (b) billion dollar plan, or not.
Media rivals like Telus and Rogers are opposing the purchase.
A Green Fox Baby
Megan Fox is a Mama.
Megan and husband Brian Austin Green have revealed that they have become parents to a beautiful baby boy.
Their son, Noah Shannon Green, was born on September 27th, but they kept it hush hush until today.
Fox posted on her facebook page that Noah is happy, healthy and perfect.
