You ever hear a song and instantly fall in love with it, to the point where you just want to play it over and over and over until you hate it?
Do you hate having to deal with the break in jamming because the repeat function isn’t instant?
One Paul Lamere built this on Music Hack Day at MIT, and depending on how much you like or dislike a song, it’s either the best or the worst thing ever.
The idea is that it analyzes a song (in the link’s case, “Scatman” by Scatman John) and finds pathways to loop back and forth so make the song potentially endless. With the right song, and the right fine tuning, you could have something amazing and beautiful.
I’m not 100% sure how the music gets on there, some songs are there, some aren’t – and I found a couple of meme videos on there.
Still – if there’s a particular song you want to listen to endlessly for whatever reason, now you’ve got the way to do it without playing around on audio-editing software.
