It’s been a disastrous season for the Buffalo Sabres this season, especially veteran forward Kyle Okposo. His season has come to a premature ending after taking a puck to the face. As a result, the 33-year old will miss the remainder of the season.
He’s witnessed a steady decline in his numbers since joining the organization in 2016. This is a trend that continued this season. Okposo has contributed to just two goals and eleven assists in 35 games this season, all career lows in his 13 seasons.
The St Paul Minnesota native is still under contract for the next two years dating back to a seven year contract he signed with Buffalo.
In the meantime, Steven Fogarty who has been recalled from the team’s taxi squad will take his place.
This year, the 27 year old has 3 points in 8 games so far.
